Jessica Trent kesal sekali sama adiknya yang gemar berfoya-foya dan mabuk-mabukan. Apalagi adiknya itu dipengaruhi pergaulan yang jelek. Dan siapa yang menjadi pemimpin kelompok begajulan itu?
Sang Sebastian Ballister, Marquess of Dain. Tentu saja. Pria yang terkenal kaya dan suka bermain wanita. Dan bedanya dengan hero buku romance biasanya, Sebastian ini beneran bajingan. Nggak ada baik-baiknya menurut saya. Seperti Jessica, saya benci banget sama laki-laki satu ini. Apalagi saat nama Jessica hancur dan terpaksa harus menikah dengan Sebastian demi nama baiknya.
Boleh dibilang buku ini tidak akan bagus kalau bukan karena tokoh utama wanitanya. Sumpah, Jessica Trent ini bikin saya kagum sendiri. Tenang, masuk akal, pemberani, bisa mengeluarkan argumen yang tepat menusuk pula. Sementara itu, Sebastian beneran scoundrel parah yang punya isu psikologis yang masih belum beres.
Kisah cinta yang okelah. Masuk akal banget Sebastian bisa bertekuk lutut seperti itu akhirnya. Padahal ya dia nyebelin. Belum lagi pas masa lalunya terkuak. Minta ditabok beneran. Kalau saya jadi Jessica, saya sudah kabur dari kapan.
