Review:
Mungkin ini salah satu cerita yang cukup masuk akal tentang kaum yang imortal. Kaum naga di buku ini terlalu kuat dan tidak punya batas waktu hidup sehingga akhirnya berubah jadi jahat seperti ibu kandung Dante dan Ember Hill. Dia bahkan sudah tidak punya empati dan rasa keadilan lagi.
Buku ini memfokuskan ceritanya pada perjuangan Riley, Ember, dan Garret untuk bertahan dan mencari cara untuk menyabotase Talon. Apalagi setelah tahu kalau organisasi St George saja di bawah kuasa Talon, mereka merasa semakin kecil dan bodoh ingin melawan organisasi sekelas Talon.
Dan ternyata Talon sudah punya rencana untuk menghabisi seluruh anggota St. George sampai ke akar-akarnya. Tapi Garret dan Ember tidak bisa membiarkan itu sekalipun St. George membenci kaum naga dan kaum pembela naga. Mereka harus mencari cara supaya St. George mau memercayai mereka dan bahkan menerima bantuan dari kaum naga.
Seri ini tidak sebombastis seri Iron Fey ataupun Blood of Eden, tapi saya suka skala dunianya yang cukup besar. Terus Talon tuh memang kejam dan sangat ditakuti banget. Asyik pokoknya mengikuti petualangan di buku ini.
