Saya baru sadar setelah baca beberapa bab kalau buku ini adalah retelling The Princess and the Pauper. Parah juga. Mungkin karena saya tidak begitu peduli dengan Jessica Stone yang adalah aktor film seri Starfield yang terkenal. Dia tidak menyukai tokoh yang diperankannya dan itu membuat saya tidak simpatik pada karakternya yang tidak profesional.

Di luar itu, saya suka setting dan nuansa buku ini yang bertempat di pameran ExcelsiCon. Kerasa banget geeky dan nerdy sekali adegan-adegannya. Sangat unik. Saya memang bukan termasuk orang yang bisa fanatik terhadap hal-hal berhubungan dengan cosplay. Tapi saya tetap mengakui ada bagusnya karena bagaimana pun itu adalah seni.

Kalau Jessica adalah sang putri, maka Imogen adalah si penggemar berat tokoh yang diperankan Jessica bernama Princess Amara. Karena tokoh Amara meninggal di film sebelumnya, Imogen sedang berusaha keras mengajukan petisi untuk menghidupkan kembali tokoh itu. Konyol memang. Tapi begitulah dunia geeky itu. 

Suatu hari Jessica menyadari kalau skrip skenario sekuel film Starfield bocor ke media. Dia ingat kalau dia secara ceroboh membuang naskah itu saat dia sedang emosi. Demi punya waktu untuk menyelidiki siapa orang yang mencuri skrip itu, dia pun meminta Imogen bertukar identitas dengannya. Kebetulan mereka punya fitur yang cukup mirip. Dan dimulailah petualangan dan kisah cinta keduanya.

Seru sih. Saya lebih suka buku ini dibanding buku pertamanya. Tokoh-tokohnya terasa lebih hidup.
