Yasss!! Kembali ke dunia buku favorit saya. Seri Legend itu buat saya cukup fenomenal. Salah satu seri dengan ending terbaik. Bikin hati seakan dirobek-robek in a good way. Perfecto magnifico pokoknya.
Buku ini masih memunculkan karakter utama di 3 buku sebelumnya. Tapi fokusnya sudah bukan lagi June dan Day, tapi Eden Wing. Jadi, sebenarnya sih rasanya seperti membaca spin-off dan bukan sekuel.
Ada alasan kenapa saya lebih suka membaca buku serian daripada buku standalone. Nostalgia, ikatan dengan karakter dan dunianya, kerumitan konflik, dan perasaannya lebih dalam. Saya dapat itu dari sudut pandang Day saat dia bertemu lagi dengan June. Tapi bagian Eden... Tidak jelek sih, hanya generic. Kayak film aksi mindless yang sering ada di bioskop. Bukan tipe saya soalnya.

Di buku ini, kehidupan di Antartika dibahas lebih jauh. Saya selalu suka ide negara berdasarkan sistem level game. Tapi ternyata sistem apa pun tetap saja ada kelemahannya. Saya suka banget bagian ini. Kayak pencerahan gitu. Sayangnya, villain di buku ini sama seperti villain film standalone. Muncul terlalu singkat untuk bisa dianggap serius.
Tapi seperti biasa. Gaya bahasa Marie Lu tetap saja mengalir dan enak dibaca. Saya menyelesaikan buku ini hanya dalam dua hari saking luwesnya cerita mengalir.
Recommended buat yang ingin bernostalgia dengan June dan Day. Saya masih tidak terlalu suka sama Day. Kalau June sih... selalu punya tempat di hati saya sampai kapan pun. Tsahhh!!!
