The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma

Title : The Mysterious Benedict Society And The Prisoner's Dilemma
(The Mysterious Benedict Society #3)
Writer : Trenton Lee Stewart
Number of Page : 391
Publisher : Little Brown And Company

This is the last book of The Mysterious Benedict Society. I feel sad for saying goodbye to the kids.

Okay, it's kinda hard for me to write reviews for adventure books because the whole stories are about the journey. I cannot spoil it because then you just lost the fun.

Anyway, the last book was about Ledroptha Curtain again. He was out there planning wicked plans to steal the Whisperer machine. Because of that, Mr. Benedict concerned about the safety of the children (Kate, Rennie, Sticky, and Constance) and he asked them to stay in his house. They were not allowed to go outside without supervision.

The children were stucked and they were bored. Until one day, suddenly the whole town was dark. Lights were all out. And the bad Mr. Curtain came silently to take the machine.

For me, the appeal of Mysterious Benedict Society series was the riddle. However, the last book was unfortunately lack of riddles. There are more actions, running, chasing, and traps. It's a nice read but I don't know why it feels bland. It's not as excited as the previous two books.

The ending is superb and heart-warming. Happy ending, of course. And I like the poem that Constance write to Mr. Benedict. Genius and funny! But, it's too long to write it here.

I think for these series I like the second book the most. It's more memorable, don't know why.

The Mysterious Benedict Society series :
1. The Mysterious Benedict Society
2. The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey
3. The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoner's Dilemma

=.= Such a long title, eh?

3/5
